Technique for metering the amount of energy in natural gas is developed on the basis of gas calorific value for implementation in gas metering systems. The accuracy of natural gas metering by means of ultrasonic gas meters is analyzed. Models are developed for investigation of flow structure influence on the operation of ultrasonic gas meters. The developed models, recommendations, measures and technique are the basis for development of normative documents on improvement of accuracy of natural gas metering systems based on gas meters with taking into account the energy content in gas.
