The purpose of research is to study the structural and functional features of manuscript holdings of the Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv. Detection and processing of archival sources was made. Structural and functional features of the personal archives of the Soviet period were analyzed and studied. In particular, the process of archival formation was reconstructed as well as the their original internal structure and content. According to the principles of modern archives the description of 62 personal collections were updated. The dates of first additions to archives were specified. Passport of archives were prepared for centralized accounting. Scientific and technical study of 11 archives was conducted, archives of Oleksa Horbach, Stephan Trofymuk, Maria Derkach, V. Vuytsyka, Omelian and Tetyana Antonovych, Vasyl Schurat, Ivan Krypyakevych, A. and T. Antonovych and others were being processed. Three documentary exhibitions were organized: to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Verbitsky, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tatiana Antonovych, 150th anniversary of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and multimedia presentation of his documentary heritage. 15 articles were published. Book "Correspondence of Zenon Kuzelya with figures of Ukrainian culture" (M. Baran) and references of I. Krypyakevych, V. Schurat, I. Levitsky archives were completed as well as the second volume of "Catalogue of Cyrillic manuscript books.
