It was found that increasing age of patients was assotiated with significantly increased level of central systolic and pulse blood pressure (BP) in aorta (according suprasystolic arteriography) and an increase in duration of hypertension has contributed to increasing levels of systolic blood pressure and increased thickness intima-media complex. For the first time it was determined that in patients with hypertension increasing of the central systolic blood pressure and central pulse blood pressure (CPBP) contributes significantly to cardiac remodeling process. In patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy CPBP increasing contributed to increase of the left atrium size and left ventricular systolic function reduction.
