At the time of experimental depression in male mice, induced by chronic zoo-social confrontations, introduction of the substance increased the number of animals with active resistance during the confrontations, reduced anxiety, improved cognitive reaction, that is to say, it had antidepressant effects. During reserpine depression, the compound eliminated depressive somatomotoric and autonomic effects of reserpine. Administration of the compound during experimental aggression provided anxiolytic effects: reduced incidence of direct aggression, increased resistance to emotional stress, reduced the increased anxiety. In tests of neuropharmacological interaction, we established serotonin dopamine, GABA-ergic properties of the compound and did not identify anticholinergic activity. At doses, exceeding conventional therapeutic ones, the compound has a dose-dependent sedative and muscle relaxant activity. The substance is moderately toxic (LD50 is 804 mg per kg), at the studied doses it is not cardiotoxic. These results characterize the compound as an active pharmacological substance, which can be considered as a potential agent with antidepressant, anxiolytic, dose-dependent sedative and muscle relaxant effects.
