The set of algorithms to determine the priorities of the local, regional and national public health policies in controlling morbidity and mortality from the NCD in the elderly population were formed. The losses of healthy life due to the death in the elderly from non-communicable diseases on the basic structural parameters - age, gender, type of settlement and regions, as well as causes of death and risk factors, - are determined. An algorithm for determining the national and regional health priorities of older people using the methodology of the burden of disease assessment and the disability-adjusted life years estimates was elaborated. Recommendations on the implementation of effective health interventions to combat mortality from non-communicable diseases in old age on risk factors and regions were formulated.
