High fat intake was associated with a lack of complex carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and an excess of simple carbohydrates. The imbalance of vitamins and minerals was revealed in the diet of older people with MS. In people with MS of both age groups, there were eating and sleep regimen changes. The link between metabolic risk factors and the diet features was found to have sex differences. In middle age men, the animal protein intake positively correlated with waist circumference, cholesterol intake - with the level of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in the blood. In elderly men, the greater animal protein consumption was associated with a larger hip circumference, obesity index, and fasting glucose levels, there was a positive correlation of these indicators with the consumption of saturated fats. Correction of dysbiosis with probiotic cultures improved the digestion and the intestinal microflora status, improved carbohydrate tolerance and lipid profile in elderly people with MS. Additional consumption of special meat paste with mushrooms by the elderly people lead to the increase in vitamin B12 level in the blood and normalization of lipid profile. Intake of food composition with hohey improved overall wellbeing and lipid metabolism in the elderly.
