Mechnikov National University popup.description2 Rapeseed methyl ester (RME), ethanol (A) and diesel fuel (MD) multicomponent biofuel mixtures ignition and combustion processes were investigated. Single droplets critical conditions of (RME) and it's mixtures with (MD) were determined. Models of droplet's ignition and diffusional spray combustion, which allow to estimate ignition lag and combustion times and analytically investigate the influence of excess oxidizer coefficient on combustion process, were developed. The compensatory action effect of additives (A) and (RME) to (MD) was discovered, which made it possible to optimize fuel receipe to reduce the fuel blend specific consumption rate.
