Mathematical models of a number of electro-mechanical devices, allowing to intensify the process of finding the optimal combination of their parameters, to reduce the time and cost of design work are developed. Theoretical analysis of the equivalent stresses influence on the strength of beams with varying cross-sectional shape is performed, a simplified method of a complex estimation of I-beams strength is developed. A mathematical model of a group threaded connection tightening is created, which allows calculating effort in fasteners in different types of tightening sequence. A comparative analysis of academic teaching methods efficiency is performed, ways to improve the level of technical disciplines to display the study results are determined. The search in these areas will continue. Implementation of the results is planned during 2018-2019 into the technical universities students' training and into businesses designing and manufacturing engineering structures.
