For experiments a substrate coated with a layer of gold was used, on the one hand for study the whiskers formation, and on the other hand, for study the metal-assisted chemical etching, which is the simultaneous action of oxidation and reduction reactions in order to obtain locally nanoporous silicon structures. The technological features of Si nanowhiskers and nanoporous silicon structures producing were analyzed. The study of elemental content of Si nanowhiskers was performed.
