Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The hydrogen embrittlement model, which takes into account influence of hydrogen on ductile and brittle fracture, was implemented in software modules designed to calculate the stress-strain state using the finite element method. The model takes into account that the hydrogen embrittlement causes hydrogen, which is assigned with dislocations. Simulation of hydrogen diffusion in welded joints showed that due to the redistribution of hydrogen between the crystal lattice and traps the dislocation hydrogen can be controlled. The calculations of residual stress in welded joint considering the possible decreasing of metal yield stress due to hydrogen, showed that the reduction of residual stresses under the action of hydrogen was not observed. Experimentally showed that hydrogen in concentrations of 0.3 cm3 / 100g metal does not affect the mechanical properties of HSLA steel at 600oC.
