Subject of research - bringing national regulations on fire safety in construction to the requirements of regulations of the European Union. Purpose - scientific substantiation of ways of developing the national regulatory framework with the fire safety requirements for building constructions, products and materials, and creating conditions reduce the number of fires to fires. Research Methods - analytical and experimental methods for determining the flammability and heat of combustion of building materials and their ability to spread the flames. The novelty of scientific results is improved and brought into line with European national regulatory framework in the field of fire safety in construction in relation to determination of the fire hazard of building products and materials and their fire classification. Eight projects developed national standards harmonized with European standards, establishing a European fire classification of building designs and products to fire and European fire classification of construction products and materials for reaction to fire, and the relevant test methods for fire danger.
