The aim of the research is theoretical and methodological and practical study of the principles of socio-economic development of agricultural production. The object of research is the production and economic activity of the agricultural business in the micro and macro levels. The subject of research is the process to ensure effective economic and social development. The study used the following methods: monographic, graphing, statistical techniques and economic method: grouping , comparison , analysis, synthesis; Economic - mathematical methods, including linear programming with the use of computers and the economic - mathematical modeling; poll ; observation; interviewing, forecasting methods , the method of expert evaluations, specialized tools for strategic planning ( business planning , financial analysis , etc.). The results and their novelty: the methodical evaluation of the effectiveness of the provisions of the subjects of small-scale agricultural production sector, formulated the basic principles of regional policy in support of small agricultural businesses, defined ways of improving the use of human capital. Results of the study can be used in the development of strategic plans for socio-economic development and in evaluating the results of economic activities of private households.
