The purpose of the study is to justify the theoretical and methodical positions, making recommendations for improving accounting and information support agro-industries to improve the competitiveness of agricultural production. The study of theoretical and methodological foundations are: the dialectical method of cognition, according to which the technique studied accounting and auditing of environmental costs; observation, comparison, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction - for the study of the theory and practice of accounting, reporting and auditing of agricultural production. The scientific novelty of the research is to study the theoretical and methodological provisions of informativeness credentials agro-industrial enterprises to provide management decision-making. In accordance with the objectives of improving the competitiveness of agricultural production and rural development asked to audit the cost of the improvement of agricultural land with ecological and economic analysis (for cost control to improve them) offered to the institutional basis for the formation of a computerized model of an integrated system of accounting and information management software ( to summarize the accounting and economic information using telecommunications technologies and modern computer technology); it is recommended to take an inventory of all legal acts of Ukraine related to financial accounting and cost control, organize and update monthly reference and information base of companies on accounting, control, taxation (to identify duplication and inconsistency of these acts and unsettled situations).
