Research objective - to develop effective measures of control of infestation by weeds in a short-term crop rotations of the left-Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. Research methods : field, laboratory, and statistical. In short crop rotations forage type was formed a contamination of cultures maloletni-cornevishche type, dominated by annual weeds, up to 95 %. Species composition is narrowed to about 5-10 species including monocots 63-76 %. More harmful dicotyledonous weeds: white pigweed, Amaranthus usual, nightshade black. The winter crops consisted of 2 to 16 th./m2 wintering weeds. In crops row crops (sugar beet, maize, sunflower) in the chemical protection of the number of weeds was 3-18 th./m2, but on high agricultural background increased significantly the mass of weeds and removal of nutrients. For long-term use of no-till cultivation of soil contamination of cultures was increased 2 -13 times. Infestation of the five-field crop rotation when surface cultivation is 601-782 th./m2, while plowing in 2-3 times less (186-353 th./m2). High competitiveness are cereals, especially winter. Winter wheat on high agricultural background, with the density of the stalk (1600-2200 th./m2) has high competitiveness against weeds, makes the soil 140-200 kg/ga of nitrogen, 50 to 90 kg/ga phosphorus 70-100 kg/ga of potassium, while the weeds take out of 19,7 kg of nitrogen, 2,5 to 19,6 phosphorus and potassium. Corn has a low competitiveness against weeds in early growth. When herbicide (Master) later show the competitiveness to weeds, increasing at high agricultural technology, organic mass 35 to 49 t/ga, in the soil kg/ga of nitrogen, 75-90 kg/ga phosphorus, 125-170 kg/ga of potassium. Infestation of crop rotation with two fields tilled was 387-192 th./m2. Crop rotations, saturated of grain crops, siderolite cultures have a lower weediness 159-102 th./m2. When growing winter wheat with herbicides (Granstar 20 g/ha) total cost 9450 UAH, profit with a yield of 5,8 t/ga - 7950 UAH, profitability - 84,1 %, cost - 1890 UAH/t.
