Research objective – to increase profitability of production of grain sorghum purpose in terms of Cherkasy region by optimizing the methods of sowing and plant density, the use of technology in balanced doses of mineral fertilizers and Restigouche preparations at cultivation of varieties and hybrids of grain and sweet sorghum with high spartochori functions of starch. Obtained basic information on the best methods of sowing and plant population for varieties and hybrids of grain and sweet sorghum with high spartochori functions of starch in the Central part of the Forest-steppe. The highest seed yield provided options with 45 cm row spacing and seeding rate of 250 thousand. Like grains per 1 ha of grain sorghum and sugar 8,64 and 8,79 t / ha respectively. Somewhat lower yields at sowing with row spacing of 70 cm. It should be noted that the options with the norm of seeding of 250 thousand. Like grains per 1 ha formed a higher yield than the variants with seeding rate of 200 and 300 thousand. Like grains per 1 ha in grain and sugar sorghum .
