Purpose of the study to develop methods for protecting metals against corrosion, combining metallic and nonmetallic coatings, inhibitors and electrochemical protection (tread, cathode, anode) based on the study of the mechanisms of corrosion processes. The study used the following methods - basic experimental research methods used in this study were a gravimetric method which makes it possible to calculate the value of the mass index of the corrosion rate (Kv), and to quantify the protection of steel at a rate of inhibition of corrosion rate ( ) and the degree of protection of metal (Z, %). Electrochemical studies that were performed using the potentiostat P5827M allow to reveal the mechanism of protective action diphosphates.
