The aim of the study is to identify the promission range of tree and shrub species for mass planting of settlements in Kiev region. Research Methods - dendrological, biometric, mensuration and statistics. The study analyzes the biometric and qualitative indicators of trees and shrubs in the Kiev region towns. The study used the following methods: analysis, synthesis; comparative and statistical analysis (to assess the species composition and condition of tree plants); graphical methods, correlation and regression analysis (identification of connections in application of certain categories of tree plants), settlement and regulatory (at the level of urban greening assessment). The planning structures and green spaces systems in small towns of Kiev region were analyzed. Security of residents of these towns greenery and compliance indicators derived normative values were defined. Prevailing range and medium biometrics of tree species in plantations of different functionality in the studied towns of Kiev region were established. Conclusions regarding the species composition of tree and shrub plantings in cities of Kyiv region. The value of the results allowed us to obtain a real picture about state of green spacies in small towns of Kiev region. The proposed measures will help to improve efficiency of urban greening in Ukraine.
