The objective of the work is - refine of production technology the pressed zirconium dioxide products, stabilized of CaO. The researches of influence moisture of mass (2.0; 2.5; 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5 %) and compaction pressure (50, 75, 100 MPa and 40 MPa for the masses with the humidity 3.0 and 3.5 %) on the apparent density just-molded and dried pressed green-body zirconium dioxide samples, stabilized of CaO, and on the main indicators properties of these samples after calcination at 1750 °C, have been carried out. It has been determined, that the regularity of change in the apparent density just-molded and dried green-body samples, pressed at a pressure of 50, 75, 100 MPa, is identical. With increasing humidity of mass in range from 2.0 up to 3.5 % and compaction pressure from 50 up to 75 MPa and 100 MPa increases apparent density of green-body. A further increase in humidity of mass (up to 4.0 and 4.5 %) and compaction pressure (50 to 75 MPa and 100 MPa) leads to a significant deterioration of its compressibility and apparent density of green-body, reaching a certain magnitude, practically undergo no changes. This regularity is typical for changing of apparent density of the fired samples, which with increasing humidity of mass in range from 2.0 up to 3.5 % and compaction pressure from 50 up to 75 MPa and 100 MPa increases. Accordingly, reduced open porosity and increased cold crushing strength of samples. Samples, pressed at lower pressure - 40 MPa, with humidity of mass 3.0 and 3.5 %, by indicators of apparent density of green-body and fired samples, are inferior to analogous characteristics of samples, pressed from mass with the same moisture, but at a higher pressure - 50, 75, 100 MPa, as they are inferior for indicators of open porosity and cold crushing strength. The optimum humidity and compaction pressure has been set. On the base of carried out researches, has been improved the production technology pressed zirconium dioxide products, stabilized of CaO, providing the production of products with higher at 3.3 % (rel.) apparent density and lower at 3.5 % (abs.) open porosity in comparison with indicators properties of these refractories of the same composition produced in the institute before. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY" have been made pilot batches of: refractories from ZrO2, stabilized with Y2O3, with indicators properties, the relevant technical requirements of Ukraine, the thermal insulation of the powder grain size 5-2 mm with indicators properties, the relevant requirements of the consumer, intended for aggregates of growing single crystals; refractories from fused monoclinic ZrO2 with indicators properties, the relevant requirements of the consumer, intended for quartz glass production furnace. These refractory products have been supplied to consumers in the domestic and foreign markets (exports to Republic of Belarus, Russian Federation). Work should continue in the direction of further improvement of production technology high-refractory zirconium dioxide products, expanding the volume of their production and application.
