Methods of researches - chemical, physical-mechanical, petrographic analyses. By results of the researches executed in 2014 (work No. 2.10-4-M-1.4-2014-BH) when releasing a pilot batch the technology the corundum containing plugs technology of new composition - with an additive of 25 % melted alumina-calcia material (with the containing of CA6 and CA2 in the ratio 4:1) which are characterized by high rates of properties: mass fraction, %: 96.3 Al2O3, 0.47 Fe2O3, 2.62 CaO, open porosity 19.6 %, apparent density 3.09 g/cm3, at compression strength 189 N/mm2, is mastered. The made plugs are prepared for carrying out tests in steel ladles. Petrographic researches of corundum containing plugs without additives and with an additive 5, 15, 25 % of alumina-calcia material samples after testing on corrosion resistance to impact of steel fusion at a temperature of 1600 °C are carried out (work No. 2.10-4-M-1.4-2014-BH). It is established that penetration of metal fusion into refractory material leads to its interaction with components of refractory materials and to formation of a reactionary zone. In a reactionary zone, first of all in a sheaf, there is a formation of solid solutions of oxides of iron in corundum, in regional part of a reactionary zone solid solutions of shpinelid of variable structure - a gertsenit (FeO.Al2O3) and magnetite (FeO.Fe2O3) are formed. Large pores of melted corundum and alumina-calcia material aggregates are left practically without changes and only in regional part of a reactionary zone are exposed to corrosion - in corundum refractory material and in refractory materials with an additive of 5 both 15 % of alumina-calcia material and to insignificant flow and corrosion in the refractory material containing an additive of 25 % of alumina-calcia melted material. Petrographic researches have allowed to establish influence of additive quantity of alumina-calcia melted material on phase formation process in the alumina containing samples defining their corrosion resistance to impact of metal fusion. On pilot production of PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A. S. BEREZHNOY" for the metallurgical enterprises pilot batches of plugs for a ground purge of metal which on indicators of properties conform to requirements of TU for the brands PKSh are let out. Work should be continued in the direction of further improvement of the production technology of blowing-off plugs and expansion of volumes of their production and application.
