The work purpose is completion of calcium silicate lightweight product technology with the apparent density no more than 1.0 g/cm3.The research methods are chemical, petrographic, X-ray, physico-mechanical analysis. The phase formation process in the calcium silicate lightweight products are investigated during their heat treatment by methods of a X-ray analysis and petrography. It is established that the beginning of formation of a pseudowollastonite in a mixture of chalk, semi-water gypsum and quartz dust-like with unstoichiometrical СаО:SiO2 ratio (~ 0.9) flows step through formation of intermediate compounds - larnite and ?-wollastonite. Researches of influence of burning temperature on samples properties of calcium silicate lightweight products are executed. It is established that from the point of view of receiving strong products with high content of pseudowollastonite the most effective for burning of the products made without and with addition of foamer are temperature of 1320 and 1280 °C respectively. The samples of products made without and with an additive of foamer after burning at the these temperatures are characterized according to the apparent density of 0.90 and 0.53 g/cm3, compression strength of 5.7 and 1.8 MPa; pseudowollastonite content in them is 90-93 % by volume. Under the contract with the plants of Ukraine the pilot batches of heat-insulating castables have been produced. Properties of production conformed to requirements of standard documentation and terms of the contract. Production is made and intended to the customer in the amount of payment. Work should be continued in the direction of further improvement of technologies of lightweight products and heat-insulating castables and expansion of places of their application.
