It is hard to notice the difference in defects' density depending on the crystallographic directions. The structure with a high density of defects (1011 cm-2) is formed in a material after surface treatment by high doses (> 5 dpa in a wide temperature range). The studied profiles the concentration of impurities in the alloys Zr by irradiation of heavy ions show uniform distribution of Sn and Cr depletion in the surface layers. It is shown that hydrogen evolution from zirconium alloys can be studied effectively by means of thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) and the gas chromatography.
