Development of mechanical part, electronic nodes and software. popup.stage_title Head Braun Oleg, Registration Date 29-11-2016 Organization Institute of physics NASU popup.description2 The aim the project is a comprehensive experimental, theoretical and computer study of the friction processes, and the development of scientific bases for the low energy control methods of tribological processes in machines and mechanisms to extend their operational resources. The objects of research are the monolayers of the organic films as a lubricant in tribological systems. Working model of the original device for the study of friction via pendulum method was designed. The device allows to carry out non-destructive measurement of the friction coefficient of ultrathin films, such as monolayers of normal alkanes, organic acids, alkanethiols, fullerenes and their derivatives, placed on the atomically smooth surfaces. The control of structure of monolayers of organic films on atomically smooth surfaces is carried out by the methods of atomic force and scanning tunneling microscopy. In this stage and the two previous (2013-2014) the following results are:1. a new method of investigation of friction and measurement of friction coefficients of systems based on ultrathin films are presented. It were obtained the dependencies of total E(?) and average energies ?(?) of tribosystem for couples of investigated materials. Levitation tribometra software was developed and successfully tested; 2. the technology of obtaining highly ordered multilayers of long chain aliphatic compounds was designed. An ordering of thiols Nona (1,9-nonanedithiole), Mu (11-mercaptoundecanol), Mua (11-mercaptoundecanoic acid) were obtained on an atomically smooth surface of the Au (111) and determined their structure of packaging; 3. system for tribological studies was tested on experimental tribological pairs metal-thiol. It was estimated the friction coefficients of pairs of the materials: metal-metal and metal-organic. It was found that the process of friction for pair metal-organic (Au - Nona, Au - Mu, Au - Mua) is qualitatively different from a pair of metal-metal (Au - Au); 4. it was suggested one-dimensional model of friction precursors between the slider and the sliding block. Quasi-static fronts are self-healed cracks in that model, on condition of the thickness of slider H is larger compared to the elastic correlation length and rigidity of the interface is smaller compared to the volume rigidity of slider. It was found an analytical solution for the long run ? of the first slider, which controlled by elasticity of block and interface; 5. metal-organic systems are ideal objects for tribological studies that allow to deepen the understanding of the processes of friction, to avoid the destruction of metal surfaces by applying organic of monolayers and reduce the coefficient of friction by several times.
