Purpose of the work - the development of efficient numerical methods for modeling frequencies and lasing thresholds of the eigenmodes of nanolasers based on silver nanowires and nanostrips with an active shell, using a laser eigenvalue problem and Nystrom's method. Method of research - methods of the theory of boundary-value problems of electrodynamics, in accordance with which eigenmodes are the solution of homogeneous Maxwell's equations for the time-harmonic fields, with accurate boundary conditions and the radiation condition at infinity. The relevant two-dimensional problems are reduced to homogeneous Fredholm equations of the second kind. For nanolaser based on nanostrip it has been achieved by using two-sided generalized boundary conditions, that lead to integral equations, which have been discretized with the Nystrom's method . The eigenvalues, as the zeros of the corresponding determinant equation, have been found numerically by Newton's method.
