The influence of the proteasome on the mature and immature microRNA-1 was firstly shown. It was proven that senescence and its combination with hypertension lead to impaired microRNA-1 biogenesis. Using computational modeling of the space structure of KATP channels and virtual targets specific (SUR1 and SUR2 subunits of the channels) screening in chemical molecules database the variety of new compounds that are potential KATP channels activators were designed and synthesized.
