Kholodny Institute of Botany NASU popup.description2 To continue studies, among compounds of the acylhomoserinlacton class (AHL), that mediate plant-microbe interactions there was chosen a short-chain AHL with six carbon atoms - N-hexanoil-L-homoserine lactone (HHL). To solve HHL, an experimentally selected alcohol-water mixture that is non-toxic to plants was selected. New genotype seeds of winter wheat were primed by HHL and after that seeds were planted and grown on the plots of Pheophania Research and Production Site, Institute of Botany. Germinating capacity of HHL -primed seeds was found to increse by 8 - 20% (depending on variety). Under conditions of the real ecosystem priming was shown to affect qualitative and quantitative spectrum of the rhizosphere microflora ecological groups.A significant effect of priming was to increas the amount of nitrogen-fixing bacteria by two orders. Changes in the microbal background promoted rhizosphere mobilisation and formation. A priming positive effect on the resistance of Yatran 60 and Podolyanka varieties to Tilletia caries (DC) Tul. was discovered. Indices of yield structure elements including productive branching and number and mass of grains in one spike were found to improve. Product Description popup.authors Косаківська І.В. Мошинець О.В.
