The purpose of work is the development of technology for production of the lacquer-type gunpowder the basis of study of conformities to law of granulation and modification of pyroxylin gunpowder. Research method is a physical modeling of the process of granulation of the gunpowder with the lacquer method, modification of powder granules on laboratory equipment, analysis of the obtained powder with the spectrophotometry, calorimetry, sieve, manometric methods; a test of gunpowder a in a ballistic smooth-bore weapons. The research on the establishment of the laws of granule powder with lacquer granulation method, including the effect of temperature and time and hydrodynamic conditions on the formation of powder granules and on the definition of structural and ballistic-density (burn rate) characteristics were conducted. The technical requirements for research stand, intended to determine the ballistic characteristics of the powder, are formed. Stand is made and established. The researchers are conducted and the technological modes of the phlegmatizing modification of granular powder are worked; saturation patterns of powder granules with phlegmatizing plasticizers are installed inclusive; character of deterrent distribution is defined in gunpowder granules, structural-closeness and ballistic (speed of burning) descriptions of gunpowder after modification are certain. The technological modes of modification of powder granules, provided a progressive burning powder, are defined based on the identified results. Patterns of extraction, sorption of modification of powder granules with saturation of nitroglycerin, which increases the energy characteristics of the powder, are investigated. The project of technological regulations of pilot production of lacquer (spherical) powder, which is expected to create on the enterprises of GC "Ukroboronprom" is developed on the basis of the research results of granulation and modifications laws of pyroxylin powder; prototypes powder lacquer types for small arms, which correspond to the technical specifications are manufactured and tested.
