The purpose of the study is processing of methods of the determination of plastic state limits of cohesive soil with bringing to the one methodological basis (cone penetration). The method of the research is the method of analytical analysis based on the literature and practical experience, existing methods for determining the lower and upper plastic limit and laboratory studies to prove the real possibility of implementation of new approaches and calculation of the data for making concrete conclusions on the plastic range of cohesive soils.
