The object of investigation - medicinal plants Matricaria chamomilla, Silybum marianum, Bidens tripartite, Salvia officinalis. The aim of research - developing radiation biotechnology to increase producing and isomeric variation secondary metabolites of medicinal plants in vitro for raise their pharmaceutical value. The methods of investigation - radiobiology, spectrophotometric, chromatographic, biochemical, physiological, statistical. The methods for secondary metabolites' extraction (flavonoides and phenol components) from the medicinal plants, their qualitative and quantitative assessment were chosen and experimentally proved. The qualitative assessment of phenol components in ethanol extracts of Matricaria chamomilla flowers from seeds exposed with radiation was carried out using highly effective fluid chromatography. The absence of any new components in extracts from exposed plants was indicated. Thus medicinal stock grown from seeds under X- or gamma-exposure is not dangerous for human health. Flavonoide yield in plant ethanol extracts from exposed seeds with doses 1-50 Gy was increased related to non-exposed plants. The optimal dose for maximum yield of flavonoides in Matricaria chamomilla is 10 Gy for both 1 g of stock and living space. The comparison of sum flavonoid yield in plants grown under different radiation exposure indicated importance of external chronic exposure rate and whole dose during vegetation term to induce the increased flavonoid synthesis. According to obtained data 4 thesis were accepted to International conferences, 1 paper was published and another one - accepted for publishing.
