Photoluminescence spectra show a series of lines in 480-700 nm spectral region witch correspond to 5D4 - 7Fj transitions of Tb3+ ions. Intense energy transition from host Gd3+ ions to Tb3+ ions was found. Comparative analysis of luminescence of Ca3Ga2Ge3O12, Ca3Ga2Ge3O12: Eu3+ garnet single crystals and ceramics with synchronic excitation was carried out. Under synchronic excitation of Eu3+ doped Ca3Ga2Ge3O12 samples in fundamental absorption region the recombination luminescence together with host emission were found at 10 K. The recombination luminescence is attributed to transitions in 4f8 configuration of Eu3+ ions. Optical-luminescent and kinetic properties measurements of Gd3Ga5O12: Bi3+ and Lu3Ga5O12:Eu3+ single crystalline films were provided. Influence dependence of synthesis conditions, in particular growth temperature, on relative emission intensity of Bi3+ and Eu3+ ions was investigated. Decay time of Bi3+ and Eu3+ luminescence as well as specifics of excitation energy transitions between host emission centers and doped ions were studied.
