The purpose of the project is to improve the security of strategic and environmentally hazardous facilities in Ukraine, military installations and civilians concerning the negative effects of lightning. This is achieved through early warning about the approaching storm front. The project developed a national warning system concept and designed the layout of the local system. The system provides the ability to warn staff of objects approaching storm front, and to announce the completion of thunderstorm activity.
