The winter wheat accessions that have the group resistance to pathogens of powdery mildew, brown leaf rust and septoria leaf blotch were isolaited. It was found that the highest group resistance to diseases (septoria leaf blotch, powdery mildew and brown rust) showed 29 varietiess and breeding lines within competitive variety trials, and 9 cultivars on artificial infectious background. Thus, the best cultivars should be used in manufacturing and as a sources of resistance in breeding programs. It has been shown that resistant varieties Smyglyanka is tolerant compared to highly susseptible line UK 1731 and is able to withstand high impact disease without compromising productivity and can be recommended for comercial cultivation as resistant to septoria leaf blotch. It was evaluated the resistance of 178 winter wheat varieties of various eco-geographical origin on an artificial infectious background. It is studied that the most valuable varieties for yield stability and immunological parameters against black (volatile) smut pathogen were: Dromos, UK16 / 27, Malanka and UK 1332/10, which are promising sources of resistance and may be of interest to breeding for tolerance to black (volatile) smut in Ukraine.
