The recommendations are created for consideration of the mechanisms of the processes that occur during application to the surface and during printing with the developed nanophotonic compositions. The model is created of coordination of materials and process parameters of application of nanophotonic compositions with printing methods onto packaging materials. Recommendations are created for the use of printing technology to create nanophotonic elements on smart packaging materials, for the selection of process parameters and regimes of production of printed nanophotonic elements of smart packaging. The method is created of calculation of technological parameters of printing nanophotonic elements of smart packaging with predetermined photoluminescent characteristics. Practical realisation of the work allows to use photoactive nanocomposites as a basis for the development and manufacture of printed packaging that inform about the current state of a packaged product, i.e. its suitability for consumption by changing the properties of the printed layer (color, intensity of photoluminescence).
