The results of the research in this paper allowed to create a practical method of determining the strenth ability of steel capacitive structures for water and granular materials, obtain the specified loads and actions as well as characteristics of their technical condition (the presence of defects, damage and the like). For the investigated types of building structures as a result of its implementation the volume of the repair work decreases roughly 15-20 %, operating costs - by approximately 20-25 % and also the life of structures extends roughly 30-40 %.
