Fatigue tests of samples of deformed steel 20X have been carried out. The most dangerous elements from the point of view of fatigue have been detected. It is shown that the presence of a deformation substructure demonstrates positive influence on the resistance to fatigue failure. Effect of deformation on the parameters of static and dynamic wear of steel 20X have been carried out. It is shown that the deformation structure has a positive effect on the wear resistance under static load. Nanograins dramatically improve wear resistance under dynamic loading. For this type of deformation structures the period of wear is up to 5000 hours, which corresponds to one year of continuous operation of a train or 10 years of its operation.
