The goal of work is inquiry of the topical problems in political, socio-economic, national-cultural life in Ukraine in 20th – early 21st centuries. It is also concerned of public policy and socio-cultural process analysis. The methods of inquiry: scientific (historical, logical), specially-historical (problem-chronological, retrospective, comparative). Cultural, philological, structural methods and elements of psycho-analysis were also used. New theoretical-methodological approach to rural question in the early 20th was suggested. The process of rising and achievement of “agrarian revolution” concept was analyzed for the first time. There was undertaken a study of the main problems in development of school providing general education during 20th-40th of the last century. A methodology of author's conscious research was proposed (using the elements of psycho-analysis and literary criticisms). It was demonstrated how could be archetype theory used in research of Ukrainian writers’ creation.
