A series of novel star-shaped organic-inorganic nanoparticles with oxyhexyl, oxypropoxy-ethoxy-propyl and propoxy-tetramethyl-disiloxanyl-ethyl spacers between the core and the dye branches (Azo-POSS) as well as Azo-POSS with hydroxymethylene and pentafluorophenoxymethylene isolation groups at constant allyl spacers were prepared by interaction of hydrid- or vinyl-based polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) with the synthesized azo chromophores.
