The object of the study are rpsL gene merodiploids strains S. cyanogenus and S. albus J1074 and genome S. cyanogenus S136. The purpose of research is to study the effect of the mutant allele of the ribosomal protein S12 gene on the secondary metabolism of S136 and J1074. A streptomycin resistance of merodiploids S.cyanogenus and S. albus strains were investigated. A gene ORF 3375 was found in S136, genome of which possesses a high level of similarity with the product-of transporter landomycins gene lanJ, located in the lan-cluster. A system for detection of mutant S12 protein incorporation into ribosome was constructed.
