The purposes of the study are developing of methods for investigation and calculation of landfill gas generation, filtration and collection process parameters in the landfill body and improvement of landfill gas collection system. The main results of the study are the following: (a) the operation mode of the landfill gas collection systems and the results of investigation of the extraction wells' operational parameters are analyzed; (b) the actual operational parameters of the extraction wells' during the exploitation of the industrial landfill gas collection system are measured; (c) the landfill gas generation rate and the temporal relations of extraction wells' operational parameters are calculated; (d) the optimal mode of extraction well's operation are determined.
