The study determined approaches to drug correction of increased arterial stiffness using the combined antihypertensive therapy with mandatory control of achievement target blood pressure (BP), according to BP monitoring. It is proposed and implemented to clinical practice the use of the dynamics of arterial stiffness parameters, central blood pressure level together with the measurement of the "office" blood pressure and BP monitoring data to monitor the course of disease and evaluate the effectiveness of antihypertensive therapy in patients with hypertension. Obtained results allow to carry out early diagnosis and correction of changes of the elastic properties of the arterial wall to prevent the development of cardiovascular events.
