Nanocomposite materials of improved optical quality based on purple membranes of the predetermined size have been developed, in which the photocycle and unique characteristics of bacteriorhodopsin are retained and which can be successfully used for creating sensitive elements of integrated and fiber optic chemical biosensor systems on their basis to control the pH level in real-time mode for solutions and physiological fluids.
