The purpose of work is the use of the modern theoretical and experimental basis of intensification of the existing and development of new water treatment technologies of water decontamination from dispersed and ionic impurities and drying of water-containing sludge. The research methods are the methods of analytical chemistry and electrochemistry, mathematical physics, microelectrophoresis and optical microscopy. The main results: the ranges of field strengths and velocities of hydrodynamic flows, which allow using continuous mode to achieve the maximum degrees of water decontamination and concentration of charged impurities in the process of electromembrane treatment, are established. The optimum values of the electric field and the processing time at a given pressure during electromembrane drying of finely dispersed model system are established. The methods of intensification of electrokinetic removal of uncharged hydrophobic impurities from the concentrated disperse systems by adjusting the pH of the pore solution and the use of non-ionic surfactants are developed. The regularities of microflotation of nanosized particles and decontamination of drainage sewage and industrial chrome-containing effluents using electroflotocoagulation are established. The technology for the removal of heavy metals and hardness salts from the washing electroplating water using polarized in an electric field of ion-exchange materials is developed.
