This R&D IP is a logical extension of previous study of "Arsenal" Special Instrumentation Federal Enterprise (SI FE) and Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth (CASRE) NAS of Ukraine, aimed to development of complete technology for spatial resolution enhancement of infrared satellite imagery by subpixel registration and further software restoration, which was fulfilled during 2013-2015. The research objective is the spatial resolution enhancement of the images that formed by thermal infrared scanner (TIRS). The research was commissioned by the "Arsenal" SI FE on behalf of State Space Agency (SSA) of Ukraine. Principal contractor is CASRE NAS of Ukraine, there are no associate contractors. Main part of report includes an introduction, 8 sections, 15 subsections, conclusions, references list and 3 annexes. The major result of R&R IP is a special software module for subpixel processing of land surface frames, that formed by TIRS. The software module implements an automatic restoration of enhanced resolution infrared imagery series by input low resolution infrared image's pairs with subpixel displacement using improved algorithm based on iterative Gaussian regularization within the sliding window. The software module is developed using the latest computer technologies compliance with an Unified System for Program Documentation (USPD) requirements. The software module is tested using a set of test low resolution infrared image's pairs acquired by special-purpose measuring bench, developed by "Arsenal" SI FE.
