The model takes into account the particular structure of demand and supply in the power sector of Ukraine. The components of the organizational-economic mechanism of integration of Ukraine power industry into the European energy market are defined. We also have developed a method for estimation of Ukraine IPS export potential on condition the introduction of "day-ahead" market. The method basis on improving the computational model of the coupling of decentralized electricity markets or particular price zones for accounting of the restrictions on the power exchange in a potentially weak links, which are the barriers when combined electricity markets of Ukraine and Europe. Recommendations on the implementation of the "day-ahead" market in Ukraine based on our analysis of the introduction impact of zonal pricing model, taking into account existing network and system constraints in IPS of Ukraine were developed. The results of the work were implemented by the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine.
