Vlokh of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 The typical patterns of appearance and behavior of topological defects in the orientation of the optical indicatrix associated with the existence of residual stresses in the glass and under the influence of external static stresses were analyzed and revealed. On the base of experimental studies and phenomenological analysis the needed conditions of topological defects in the optical indicatrix orientation module power |1/2| appearance were formulated. Polarimetric method for the identification of topological defects in the orientation of the optical indicatrix glass samples with residual stresses was developed and approved. The rules of sign determination of topological defects strength were formulated. Experimental researches of hybrid-oriented liquid crystal structures with high density of defects were carried out and experimentally detected mirrorless lasing in such structures during pulse laser pumping. The possibilities of polarization-correlation approach to the analysis of the topologic structure of optically anisotropic layers image and mechanisms of their polycrystalline networks birefringence were analyzed.
