The amplification cycles suitability for genotyping of swine circovirus type II was theoretically established. The sequences of swine circovirus type II from different countries, as Korea, Japan, Spain, Slovakia, Great Britain, South America, were obtained and systematized. The primer systems PCV 2_1 and PCV 2.2 were designed by using bioinformatic methods. They are theoretically suitable for swine circovirus type II PCR genotyping. The PCV II DNA-specific fragments were accumulated. The protocols for PCR primer studies of PCV 2_1, PCV 2.2. were optimized. It was established that the classical PCR is of little practical use in swine circovirus type II genotyping due to low specificity.
