The laws of electric aging and breakdown of polymer film of micron dielectrics in terms of limits of partial discharges are investigated. The technique of limiting partial discharges in the study of film polymeric materials is proposed, which allows determining how they are affected by strong constant electric fields. A set of experiments were performed in a polar, non-polar, amorphous and crystalline polymer film materials. Continuous electric strength mode was the base for determining the dependencies of electric durability of different polymer films vs. the value of the average electric field intensity. The results of the experiments were subjected to rigorous statistical analysis, taken into account the probabilistic nature of the electric strength of dielectrics. The returnable changes that were accumulated under the influence of the electric field in polymer films were experimentally shown, which is an indirect confirmation of the hypothesis about the formation of voluminous discharges in the local volume of polymer dielectric. It is established that for the consideration of electric aging and breakdown processes the elucidation of the question of the achievable field strength in polymers is of fundamental importance, as well as determining the dependencies connecting the intensity of internal local electric fields with the voltage value applied to the sample.5481 Product Description popup.authors Гунько В.І.
