Research methods - mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma ( ICP-MS) high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC / FLD), gas chromatography with electron cupture detection (GC / ECD), diffused reflection spectrometry, fluorimetry, solid phase extraction on porous polymeric sorbents, the various forms of layered double hydroxides, membrane filters. Main results - modified method for determination of polyaromatic hydrocarbones (PAH) in natural water by HPLC / FLD was used for monitoring of 16 priority PAHs in river water and their distribution between the fractions - water-soluble, sorbed on particulated matter. Standard technique of GC / ECD for separation and quantitation of normalized volatile organochlorines (thrihalomethanes and other) was improved, limit of determination is (0,5 - 1) mkg/L. Sorbent based on Zn/Al - hydrotalcite intercalated by hexacyanoferrate (II) -ions was investigated for concentrating of Cs-137 from river water for further radіometric determination in sorbent phase. Highly sensitive method of ICP-MS was used to investigate the level of river water (Dnieper) contamination by inorganic toxicants (Cu, Zn, Ni, Cd, Pb, Cr, Mn, Ba, Sr, Se, U, V, As, Li Co), their phase-dispersed distribution and bioavailability. New highly sensitive, selective and environmentally friendly methods of analysis of water, based on the use as a solid phase of membrane filters and polyurethane for separation and concentration of corresponding colored associates with organic complexing agents and obtain analytical forms suitable for quantitative determination by reflecting diffuse spectrophotometry or using scanner technology. Photometric test methods developed for the determination of trace amounts of bromides, bromates, antimony, manganese, phenol, anionic surfactants, cationic flocculants (polyamines, poliDADMAH, PHMG, mol.massa 7000-1000000) .
