For the first time within the research NGO's publishing activity in Galicia before 1939 was carried as a multi-ethnic events, as well as Ukrainian publishing centers in Germany, France, Czechoslovakia in 1914-1939 years. Publishing legacy of the prominent publishers of the first half of 20th c. Ja. Orenshtayn fully reflected in the bibliography of his publications and literature about him. According to certain aspects of the study three scolarly publications were published and one dissertation thesis; five scolarly bibliographical and historical publications prepared for publication. All researches were carried by eleven academic staff of the department. During the reporting period, a considerable amount of research was carried. A source base for each edition was compiled; bibliographic descriptions are entered into a computer database; content of collections, calendars, some periodicals were analysed for the purpose of bibliography. To ensure completeness of bibliographical indexes on-line catalogs of leading universities and national libraries of some European countries were used.
