It is shown that after appropriate surgery, the use of bisphosphonates, particularly mebifon, in patients with metastatic bone lesions contributes to the normalization of biochemical markers' levels of bone metabolism. More over, it allows improving osteointegration of the implant and prevents its aseptic instability and periprosthetic fractures, which promotes the prolongation of prosthesis' revision terms, and, as a result, significantly improves the life quality of treated patients. On the basis of the obtained results the algorithms for the effective treatment of patients with primary tumor and metastatic bone disease were developed and tested.
