Composite based on MAX-phase Ti3AlC2 and steel Crofer JDA is not susceptible to the negative impact of high temperature (600 ° C) hydrogen environment. Composite based on MAX-phase Ti3AlC2 has low resistance to oxidation in air at 600 ° C for 1000 h basis. Doping of the MAX phase with niobium (up to 3.5 wt.%) increases its heat resistance, but it is less 1.36 times than steel Crofer JDA. The highest heat resistance has achieved after preliminary oxidation of the material based on MAX phase Ti3AlC2 at 1200 ° C for 2 h., which is 2 times higher compared with steel Crofer JDA.
